 Victory Ride Rules


COGGINS TEST:

The Missouri Department of Agriculture will enforce the regulation that all horses, mules etc. are required to have the Coggins Test taken within the past 12 months.  Out of state horses are required to have health papers.


RULES:

  1. The steering committe or veterinarian have the right to dismiss participants from the Ride
  2. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult on the entire ride.  The signature of the adult is required on the child's waiver.
  3. Each participant must carry identification and an emergency phone number.
  4. Anyone with a health problem should indicate this on the waiver.
  5. In case of accident or theft the McDonald County Community Outreach, Trail Boss, Committee and Sponsors will not be held responsible
  6. Walk horses in camp.  No riding in camp after dark.
  7. No dogs allowed on trails.  Keep dogs on leash.
  8. No bathing horses near water wagon or hydrant.
  9. Campsites must be closed down and quiet by midnight.  Put out all fires.  Always leave campsite clean.
  10. Be ready to leave on trail ride Saturday by 9:45 AM
  11. Be prepared for all weather conditions.
  12. THIS IS AN ALCOHOL FREE EVENT! NO ALCOHOL IN CAMP OR ON THE RIDE!
  13. Riders are asked to carry a halter & lead rope on trail
  14. Children must be able to control horse or use lead.
  15. Double riding only with children under 5 who register.
  16. No more than four riders abreast at any time.
  17. Kicking horses must have red ribbon which the McDonald County Community Ourtreach will provide.
  18. NO stallions will be permitted.
  19. All foals must be lead on rope during the ride.
  20. Do not pass Pace Setter.  No Rodeoing!  Trail courtesy in the only act allowed.
  21. Everyone must make own arrangements for horse, equipment, transportation, having horses shod, feed, hay & watering buckets.
  22. DO NOT LITTER ON THE TRAIL.
  23. Please show courtesy and respect to one another and the animals at all times
  24. All riders must go on the organized trail rider or stay in camp area. NO INDIVIDUAL RIDES DURING ORGANIZED TRAIL RIDE
